Wirephoto transmitter TS 1086 (1979)

The wirephoto transmitter TS 1086 can transmit both, black-and-white pictures and color pictures. In the case of color pictures the picture is scanned three times, each time with a different color filter (red, green or blue) switched into the optical path in the scanning head. At the receiving site the three color separated images are record-ed as three black-and-white color separations, where they can then be used to pre-pare the printing plates. Otherwise, the working principle is as in the wirephoto transmitter TS 975, using a scanning drum and photo-electrical scanning.
